S2E12: The Most Popular Figure in College Basketball Who You Don't Know - with On'3's Joe Tipton

Published on: 19th December, 2023

If you were a college basketball player over the last decade, you know Joe Tipton. If you're not, you probably haven't.

That's because Joe has built an "Edit" empire. He's the mastermind behind the graphics that raise entire fanbases in triumph, or make them wallow in despair. And they are the most important announcement of that athlete's life up to that point.

His graphics are used nationwide by college basketball players as they announce their college commitments or new destination from the transfer portal.

Joe walks us through the earliest stages of his career, when he started the business for fun in his early teens before building enough legitimacy to be trusted by the sport's most high profile athletes.

Joe has parlayed his efforts into a career with sports news site, On3, covering college basketball recruiting and the transfer portal, and provides great insight into the latest trends he's seeing with NIL.
